Great, one more mystery seems to be solved, thanks to the kind and knowledgeable people in this forum!
Yes, Robert, I also think that this is a lovely vase :)

@ Astrid: regarding the fact that Moser usually signed their pieces: I own one of these small vases (see pics) that are everywhere described as Jiri Suhajek for Moser. But it is not signed. Should it be?

Michael

Michael, we've had several of these Jiri Suhajek pieces on the board over the last couple of years and I don't recall any of them being signed. I can't speak for his other production of course, just this particular style. Jindrich can probably add more - I've split this off to a new separate topic to try and catch his eye.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Michael, just in case doubt remains after other members of this forum pitch in, there is another possibility if Moser is strongly suspected: you can email them at customerservice@moser-glass.com, with a picture of your piece. I've gone this route once, they were very fast and helpful. They were the ones that told me their items are usually etch marked at the bottom. You might ask them if it is indeed an original Suhajek for Moser piece and if so, why it wasn't etch marked.

It is surely Jiri Suhajek for Karlovarske sklo (Moser) from 1973 pattern  54253-01
At that time was Moser a part of Crystalex holding, this pieces had not been signed nor with author either with acid stamp of factory.

Two sizes are known

Thanks, Jindrich, for clearing this up!
I was not doubting that my vase was designed by Jiri Suhajek -- your recent thread about his presentation in Novy Bor http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,36507.0.html with pic of these vases was proof enough.
Just curious why these are not signed while Moser items should be, or if this design was probably produced by a different company as well; now I understand.

But one more question: when/how long were these produced? And were they quite popular? (Because there seem to be quite a few of these around -- 3 currently on ebay).
Cannot be very rare if even I managed to find one in a second hand shop :)

Thanks Anne for splitting this off!
And thanks Astrid for the tip with the customer service from Moser, will surely be helpful in the future!

Michael,
many Karlovarske sklo (Moser) "hutní sklo" (free hand) pieces had not been signed, I would be surprised rather when I would find a piece signed by author. Pieces were normaly  labeled with paper label, nothing more.

Also there are tumblers surely made by Moser, but signed only with paper label.
But I suppose you can contact customer service of Moser
E-mail: customerservice@moser-glass.com

they will tell us possiby more about this issue.
