vanmann:
Sorry Christine, last post was a general one to all members, not specifically at you as I had noted your kind comments. Thanks John

??????????????? Maybe along the lines of Indiana Glass, but that is a ???????????? Just reminds me of that TYPE ???
See why Here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34981.0.html  but not sure if yours is, just a mere suggestion

Good thought, Rose. I'm thinking I've seen an Indiana punch bowl set in this colour glass. Definitely an avenue to pursue. It's not a colour that would me think of British pressed glass.

Thanks for all your suggestions , I have now trawled through countless catalogues etc for English, German and Indiana glass and got nowhere. The nearest colour I found was Indiana's Teal Blue, but could not trace pattern.
This was a new field for me and I am starting to think that there are just so many options and variables that this may be my last piece too!!!!!!!!!

???
Maybe this is called a Candy Dish (aka footed Compote) rather than a Sugar bowl -- since it is 4.5 inches tall ??? It just looks more like a Candy Dish, IMHO. It is iridescent in color ? Carnival Glass (poss) ??
Could you post a pic of the bottom where it has the circle of stars? This is on the underside of the Bottom?? Try taking a pic in different light sources, and maybe try with/without flash.
;)
