Or use the BB code alternative. Do not use any spaces (I've had to add spaces to get the characters to show!) except the ones essential in your descriptive phrase
Type [ url=
Paste the url right after the =
Type a ]
Type a word or phrase describing the link
Type [ /url]
and there you are

[ url=www.lustrousstone.co.uk]My Gallery[ /url]
comes out as
My Gallery
if you remove the spaces after the [
