Signed Quillen Vase
« on: February 08, 2011, 09:16:43 AM »
Hi All, Found this today at an op shop, Has Quillen '98' on the base. Did a search and found a John Quillen glass blower from America....and thats it, does anyone have any further information...and did I get the right Quillen? It is 205mm tall. Also any ideas as to what it may be worth? If it was a NZ artist I would probably keep.

There was a John Quillen who worked from Pantera Glass Studio, Norfolk VA, previously he appears to have been in Texas, and was active either side of the millennium. I can't find his current whereabouts though.  He was a member of the Peninsula Glass Guild (now renamed to the Virginia Glass Guild), but he is no longer listed as a member.
