Baccarat pansy - age?

The colour of the petals, style of star cut base and thick base rim suggest to me that this Baccarat pansy is not 1850s but 1920s (ie Baccarat Dupont).  Any thoughts?

From the description and photo in Kulles, Identifying Antique Paperweights, Lampwork (pg. 16; photo 7), you are correct, Alan.  It would be nice (for me) for see a straight-on top view.  The asking price seems a bit steep; is it to anyone else?  Just curious.

I think I dissent.

The central stamen 'stardust' cane is typical 1850's Baccarat fare.

I think the colour might be distorted in the photograph, but agree more photos needed to determine more accurately.

Herbage looks C19 and starbase also typical. £495 is a toppy dealers price, auction estimate would be £2-300.

I think that design of stardust cane began in the 1850s and was available off the shelf for a long time - and was repeated in the 1950s. So I don't feel that helps date the weight in any way.

Hi All

If the colour of the weight is as the photo then I am with Alan and say Dupont.

I had both types in my collection and the colours are different.

That base is also typically Dupont
