For my own edification - how long have these Chinese items been around.  I remember in my early days of glass collecting c. 1975 this type of glass was often, incorrectly, called cloud glass - and it was usually attributed to Venice, Italy.  I do not remeber seeing any labelled chinese glass until the late 1980's and it was usually a single colour.

It has been around for quite a long time, I believe. My guess is 1970s, much the same as these . Once you get used to seeing the pattern, they leap out.
