Any help on this piece would be greatly appreciated! Am looking for maker, age and designer if possible. Gorgeous piece, 16.5cm, 11.5 by 8cm. Heavy at around 1.5kg's. I am hoping it is by Rosice but I have no Czech books. I am sure I have seen it before but cannot locate any pics/info on it.  ;D

Anik R:
How lovely!

What you've got is a Vladislav Urban jardiniere, pattern number 1504, Rosice 1969.  Marcus Newhall says the pattern name is 'Moravia'.

ROSICE!!!  :chky: THANK YOU ANIK!!! I had a feeling it was when I got this. I also got a second one in another colour for an extremely low price :wsh:

I seem to find these Rosice pieces in 2's and then nothing! I need to buy the Czech books so I can ID more of these Rosice pieces. I have seen pieces here and elsewhere and I love them.

Lucky fellow!  I'm still waiting for one of these.  :)

You can see your jardiniere here, on Jindrich's site:  http://www.cs-sklo.cz/ceskoslovenskesklo/25-STARE-CLANKY-OLD-ARTICLES/1021-Vladislav-Urban

By the way, which other colour did you get your hands on?

kane_u_pain:
The other colour I got is in an amber/citrine colour. I will post some photos of that piece tonight when I am home from work. The best thing is that they are both in perfect condition, no chips or dings! I am still smiling  :24:

I will bookmark Jindrichs page once I have cleared all my favourites. I didn't realise how much junk I have favourited!
