Who´s barking up the right tree?
« on: February 20, 2011, 02:50:46 PM »
Hi
Anyone dare a guess, who the maker of these lovely bark vases is? One´s brown, the other´s blue
cased green. They have a very solid base, the top rim is ground and polished. At the top they appear
a bit thicker than they are; it´s just the inward curved end of the mould.
They are ca. 25.5cm tall
Did I already mention this is a quiz?  ;)

@John   Yes, both colours are slightly darker than Aseda, but thanks for pointing out
that similarity. I had a vague feeling I had seen this similar colour scheme elsewhere.

@Chris   Here´s a picture of the bases. Not Ruda or Scandinavian at all.

@Anne   That would be great, but this glassworks didn´t use uranium at all, as far as
I know.

One of my favourite glassworks at all it is. Was that a clue? God knows - and Anik I bet.  ;D

Oooooooooooooo!  So now I think I know, although I can't find proof...  :-\    They are lovely, by the way, especially as a pair.

@Anne   It was pre-GMB time I was able to stick to just one topic.  :kissy:  :24:

@Anik   Bit too obvious hint then? In fact they´re two of three I´ve seen so far. Bought the
2nd one as WMF? Jachmann? BTW. BTW #2: Found another vase of He-who-must-not-be-named-´cause-it-would-be-another-hint.  ;)

With the Anik connection I was steering towards Canada or even Poland but with the base and it's not Scandi then my guess is Germany?
