That is a vase, but not a hyacinth vase. It works wonders for peacock feathers though.

The same vase but with out the threading is described as a hyacinth vase on the www.loetz.com web site, but either way I agree its a vase it is one of a pair that I will be selling and they have for the last few years been filled with peacock feathers.

They're calling it a "hyacinth" vase so they mean something by putting it in quotes.
