no idea who is to blame for the pear shape - but please do not keep it in the window sill. It looks dangerous there.

Two replies for the price of one here Chris:

1. Yes, I am pretty certain it is Konst Glashyttan Urshult....I have several pieces with labels with the semi-blown interior in neodymium glass.

2. Ivo is right....get it off the window sill !!.....I have very badly scorched wooden sills as a result of placing rounded glass pieces on them....one burn is so deep it was actually smoking when I realised what was happening....if we had been away at the time.........!!!!! :phew:

Max also had her drawers scorched by a round glass piece some while ago!   :sun:

the other problem is more serious - an large enclosed bubble in a thickwalled glass has a different expansion quotient, so if you expose it to heat the internal pressure can increase. If you're lucky this results in a crack - but worse things have been reported.
