Just wondering if this similar vase could be the one Cathy remembers:

Shown in this thread with an Italian label:

The green one looks SO much like the Taubes!

Dirk, do you know if the Taube one's came in opaque cased (like the green one)?
Sorry, Wayne, I´m not sure... I think I´ve seen them painted also - looks quite ugly after
a few decades with the paint flaking off. I´ll keep an open eye for cased ones - in case they exist...  :)
The similarity to the Empoli ones is strong, but the balls on the Taube vases / candlesticks seem to
be more pronounced, with an almost straight cylindrical part between them. Also the part towards
the top rim is more wavy on the Empoli ones.

I see what you mean about the slight differences Dirk, thanks for pointing that out.  :)

Nope, definitely not that one, Wayne. It was labelled something like "Alta Glass, Italy" (from memory) - which was probably some sort of import label. I had one but sold it six or seven years ago and if there is a photo, it's buried on an old drive somewhere.

OK thanks Cathy, I've put "probably Empoli/Italian" for now.
