Little Brychta penguin, or impossible to say?
« on: April 06, 2011, 07:03:27 PM »
Hello,

My little penguin looks quite similar to some Brychta penguins I've seen...  is it possible that it was also made by him? It's 5cm tall and quite heavy, despite its small size.

Thank you for looking. :)

Thanks to Ivo's suggestion that my glass giraffe (in another thread) could be Lauscha, I've come to the realization that my penguin may also be German.

Could a moderator kindly move this to the general glass section, please?  Thank you.  :)

Hello,

I'd greatly appreciate some input...  I found a Lauscha penguin which has got some similarities to mine:
http://www.figurenladen.net/?sid=&cnt=artikelinfo&id=01-14886/2

The wings are very different, but the feet look the same (same orange-y/red colour, and the same line going through).  The eyes are also quite similar.  Is that enough to establish that my penguin is Lauscha?  And does anyone know of other glassworks which made/make similar penguins?

Anik
