Pink Triangular Platter?
« on: March 09, 2011, 09:58:59 PM »
I listed this piece above on ebay & don't really know what it is, or who made it.
It is quite striking & unusual - any thoughts?

Mod: Message updated to include pics here (and link to ended eBay item removed). The pics are added with agreement of Caroline - I have cropped and optimised originals emailed to me.

Pics of full item, base and rim added above. Anyone have any new thoughts on this dish?

Datewise probably end of 19th/beginning of 20th century. English strikes me as rather more likely than Bohemian, but

Do they hang on the Wall -- or are they a Piece Server?  Very unique  ;)  but

I would agree it's a type of server - the handle is very comfortable & fits the first finger & thumb - (as a chamber stick would - if that makes sense!)
