Wear, wear, more wear -- and Signed...

 :hi:

Are you people really sure I have learned anything here.  For example, I bought this yesterday *because* I thought it might be Art Vannes.  It was only $3.99 plus yesterday I got another 30% of that price because my Frequent user card was full, and when it is Full you get another 30 % of the price.  This was a Thrift type of store...

I saw the exceptional lots of wear on the base, and it weighs lots -- So I bought it.

Upon getting it home to clean it up, remove the price ticket, and take pics of it --- did I ONLY then note that it had a Signature on the Side (I always forget to look on the side  :thud: ) so I was even more happy with the purchase.  So how can a Glass member clearly miss this signed piece --- I dunno -- must had a DUH day.  :spls2:

So now I am assuming that *it might* say Daum France ?? not sure, as I though when I bought it - it was Vannes piece.  So can someone tell me what the signature does say?  Any idea on age?  Or ball park value IF I got it for a good price.

There looks to be between the word a *double crossed T* ??  What does that mean??  Hope you can see it in the pic.  Nice heavy old Ashtray --- and the base has so much wear, not maybe for the age, but due to the constant use of this item.  Nice to see that...but what is the age on this??

Thanking in Advance... :kissy:

I, antiquerose123, as a member of the GMB do solely *confess*  :spls2: that I did NOT see the signature on the *side* of this piece of Glass.  I also *confess* that I forget to look at places other than the bottom for signature. I do hereby swear  (WTF....lol ;D ) that I will try to do more due diligence when I find a piece of Glass, and that this is a lesson to me as a GMB Member to always look more closely.

If you need to give me 30 Internet Lashes --- so be it  :pb:

Hi Rose, love it,  I've got a piece signed like that someplace - 'Daum France' .  Someone who's really clever might tell us if the crossed t is a date code or some such thing?  I've no idea of the value but its a smashing find.... :hiclp:   :o I thought all glass was signed to the base - don't tell me I've got to do a real search all over every piece I've got!!!!!  That will take until doomsday :thud:  cheers steph.
