help please is this murano

hi
bought this today woman said it was murano. i have looked online i have seen similar. would be greatfull if anyone could put a name to it. the lady said it was a pen holder but would not get many pens in it. 7 cm high by 7 cm across








there is always someone worse off .

Hi there

????? Might be a Pen holder to only hold ONE pen at a Desk so A pen is always handy.  Would look nice sitting on a office Desk with one pen in it.  I am not sure of the maker but very nice, and looks like it has quality to it!!

It may well be Murano BUT I suspect it is an oil lamp minus the wick bits.  First thought was a perfume minus the stopper but the part the stopper would go in is much too thin.  A pen holder would have support all the may down I suspect.
