Glen in the mall I'm I saw last week a Fenton Goddess of Harvest Marigold carnival bowl.
Price? $34,500! Most expensive item they have ever had in the mall which is the largest in the U.S. Ken

Ken - goodness me!!!  In a mall (where is the icon for falling over in shock? LOL). I could imagine it in an auction (where some amazing prices have been reached) but it must have been a bit of a surprise to see it in the mall. Was it well protected? Did you lift it up to examine it for damage 

I've done the marathon around some of the HUGE antique Malls. I do recall being in one in the late 1990s which called itself the largest in the US (I think it was either in the Dayton or Chicago area). I expect the title of the biggest mall is cause for some rivalry.

The Fenton Museum used to have (maybe still does have) a G of H bowl. I saw that "in situ" some years back. Pretty bowl

Glen its in the Heart of Ohio mall in Springfield which is near Dayton. No frankly I didn't do a hands on...was scared stiff to even touch it. Its Marigold & from what I could see through the showcase glass...it looked undamaged with good Iridescence. I was privately informed it was going to be there until June & if no offers then it would go to auction. I know I'd never seen one before. Ken

Yes, Yes, Yesss Anne. Perfect.  :clap: I didn't spot it when I looked earlier. I think the little figure was probably flat on its nose when my gaze whooshed by as I scanned the icons.

And Ken, thanks for the confirmation. It will be interesting to see if it sells in the mall.

What is the "shape" of this Goddess of Harvest bowl? Carnival collectors typically use the term "ruffled," but it would be more accurate to know the exact crimp style if applicable: six-point, eight-point, etc. The Goddess of Harvest bowl we now have on display in the Fenton Museum is amethyst Carnival and has what we originally called the "fruit" crimp (collectors call this "3/1"). David Doty's web site has a great picture of a Goddess of Harvest bowl with a tight crimp finish.
