Clear glass celery vase ID help
« on: April 17, 2011, 08:06:58 PM »
Hi All,
another vase bought today, bought more out of interest than anything else. I have read about the tax evasion purposes of marking the vases with the word celery. This vase is a very nice vase with a birdbath base, no press lines, the word celery is embossed from the inside. I thought from the distance that it was a nice bit of Czech glass, not convinced now. Can anyone tell me when the vase would have been made and have any idea who might have made it ( I was thinking French maybe ) Thanks in advance,
David  :sc:
