Thick heavy and chunky cut glass open salt
« on: April 24, 2011, 09:28:35 PM »
When I bought this last week I thought it was an early pressed glass open salt c1850/60. It was not until I looked at it at home I could see it was cut glass not pressed.
I be interested to know what age other people may think

I believe its an open salt and quite early . Not sure why the glass needed to be so thick about 0.5" / 12mm. Very heavy for size 470gm.

Height and diameter 3.5" / 9cm

Thanks Roy
