Beykoz Opaline - new
« on: May 02, 2011, 10:49:38 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has come across documentation for Beykoz glass.
There is a lot of information (http://www.sisecam.com/ - go to "about glass")  on old Beykoz - but I managed to find a rosewater sprinkler in the traditional decoration which is signed "Selma Delikanli Nisan 2007" in gold. There is also a barcode sticker identifying it as Beykoz Opalina - and it aint Ottoman.

- Nisan, by the way is Turkish for June.
- Opalina is used the Italian way: milk glass cased in blue.
- Beykoz is also the producer of Cesm-i-bülbül glass, the blue and white latticino "nightingale cage" glass.
