Skrdlovice - Identified Items
Anik R:
David... it wasn't an oversight! I was just trying to ease myself into the thread gently before getting smacked with a truckload of wonderful Czech glass. ;D Now why on earth didn't you show off your pieces earlier???
The Stahlikova vase is by far my favourite, and on my wish list. I also really appreciate the Oliva piece... and the Svoboda ball... heck, I'd feel like a winner if I had any one of the items you've posted! Thank you so much for sharing.
Michael, I haven't had any luck on the Skrdlovice front either. I do like your facet cut vase, however... I tried looking for a possible designer, but came up with nothing concrete. Does the piece have a lot of wear to the base?
Till the next Skrdlovice item... :hi:

The three of us put them in the same order in order of preference. I've got a tall Stahlikova vase in the same colours and they look great together.
I forgot to add this Pavel Juda piece. I should add that they're not all from Canada, but Canada is David good fro 50's Skrdlovice for some reason.

So nice -- is this by Jan Juda?
(Am I right that this is based on a late 1950s design by Emanuel Beranek?)
Saw a brown one some months ago on the fleamarket, but the seller insisted it was Murano (and very valuable), so I had to go without...
Thanks for showing!
Michael

Yes. It was Jan Juda, died 2 weeks ago in his 77 age. Pavel Juda is his son (49) also Skrdlovice blower.

Nr. 16 -- I got this today as a birthday present! :chky:
Huge 28 cm Skrdlovice vase in a beautiful colourway by (I think) Emanuel Beranek, with label.
Thanks,
Michael
