Aaarhhh! I just noticed that when I put my Mod hat on and changed the title ... I did it for one post ... not for the thread. :thud: Now corrected.

Thanks Rose and Ross.....I knew it was a Ronneby piece, but I would really love to know who actually made 'Ronnie' and what the numbers mean?  Ingela, where are you????

Rosie! Congratulations! He’s gorgeous, beautiful!

Your caterpillar, C-826, was made approx. 1978-1982

C stands for "COMBINATION"
meaning the designs were a combination from Josef + Benito Marcolin

I have a caterpillar, signed: Marcolin Sweden C-826, made approx. 1984-1985
10" long and 6" high

Hi Inca  :hi:
I am so pleased you like him.....yours is spectacular....and so different.  Rose has christened mine 'Ronnie', does yours have a name??
I couldn't believe my luck as I did a Buy it Now for about half what I would have expected to pay for him, and coupled with the 2 Marcolin Swans, I really had a very good 'Scandi' week.  When it took 4 weeks for this to come from USA, I was really worried that I had lost it!!
Thank you for explaining the letters and numbers ...... I want another one now!!

Rosie.

Hi Rosie,

I am pleased that you like my caterpillar.  :rah:
He doesn't have a name. Could he be Ronnie too, or maybe Ronnie 2?  ;D

4 weeks from USA. I know how it feels to wait, I once waited 8 weeks for a Ronneby squirrel to arrive, and I was worried that it had been lost in the mail.

My caterpillar is a bit different and I don't see this effect often, but I just love it!

Marcolin have some stunning effects. Have a look at this one!  ;)
