Frosted Schmid, anyone else seen it?
« on: May 16, 2011, 03:58:50 PM »
Heya!

I found a frosted version of Jan Schmid's knobbly vase. Has anyone else seen one like it? I come across the clear ones frequently but I've never seen one with this finish.

Best Regards
Emil

One on the left is a different shape, did they have more than one mould?

Heya Frank!

I've noticed as well, but the difference is small and other than that they're identical (same number of knobs, same "bird bath" bottom. Sorry for all the talk about knobs and bottoms, I know it's a family forum). Besides, compare it to other Schmid's online and you'll se there are differences in shape, such as:
