I really do appreciate your comments, and I'd be the first to condemn people who generalise - and I did say 'just random thoughts' - so hope you will forgive my less than accurate comment - I'm trying to improve (even if I can't spell sapphire). In view of your knowledge, particularly of British and of the period in question, do you recall seeing a foot similar to Keith's shape on any pieces of known Webb's production. Speaking from experience, I can say only that, with a couple of exceptions, all of my Webb's vases (those that do have feet) - have this flange shaped foot, similar to the Dodsworth examples (the exceptions being a uranium finger type bowl and a blue rinsing bowl). Obviously, I don't possess a large collection - something like 15 bowls/vases at the last count.
