Glass Walrus ????
« on: May 25, 2011, 11:04:58 PM »
:hi: Found this Glass Walrus today.  He is either just a decorative piece, or a paperweight ?????

He is only 3 inches tall, and about 4.5 inches long, and 2.5 inches wide.  He does have a clear label on the bottom that say something like " ??? Canada, by Hand".  I do not know what the first word may be.  The motto (design) on the label looks like 2 boomerangs crossed over (or two stylized letters L, or V crossed over one another ) ?? but I am not sure.

Has both his long teeth, neither have been broken  :smg:

Any idea on the Canadian Maker, age, or have seen this label before?  If we can figure this out -- then Anne  :anb:  you can add to the Canadian Glass label.....but the hunt is on for the maker first.

I bought this only for the label.....but, he is kinda cute

Looks like a nice piece of artist made glass.  The top line of the label will have been "Made in Canada" and the very boomerang-like centre bits will presumably point to either LV or VL as the initials of the artist - I punt for LV personally.  Do you have lists of Canadian glass artists?  I wonder if anyone else does?
