uranium ice crackle lamp base.

I've removed the English 13 amp three pin plug (with blue/brown) modern wiring - although from the look of the brass fitting this is not a piece manufactured recently. Height and diameter both about 9" - 230mm, and quite heavy. Looks like plaster of paris used to cement the top fitting the glass, and fair amount of wear to fitting and base of the globe. Is this likely to be pre 1940, and anyone care to take a punt on country of origin. thanks for looking.
