maker of this hourglass

newtothis:
Hi,
I'm very new to collecting Murano and I'm just getting started. I know very little about it. I purchased this hourglass recently and I'm not sure if it's Murano or not. Could someone take a look at the attached pictures and tell me if it's Murano? It stands about 5 1/2" tall, has a stopper in the blue bottom.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Bernard C:
There is a photograph of an apparently identical "Egg Timer" on p25 of Nigel Benson's Glass of the '50s & '60s, Miller's, 2002.
Nigel describes his example as "Egg timer by Paolo Venini, Venini & Co., c.1960s, ht 19cm/7.5in, £150-180/$225-270".
You appear to own rather a gem.

be careful they are very fragile - as a friend of mine found out the hard way.
