Bohemia Glass cranberry vase? bowl? comport?
« on: June 17, 2011, 07:38:11 AM »
Hi I have been given a link to this site by an ebay member, which was much appreciated.

I have an unidentified Bohemia Glass item. It has a label saying 'Bohemia Glass made in Czechoslovakia' but I am unsure of its date and also what it would be used for.

I have spent quite some time searching the internet but have not been able to find anything out about this item.

Thank you

Hiya and welcome to the board!  According to Mark Hill's book "Hi Sklo Lo Sklo", that particular yellow label dates it to around 1950's - 1970's.  As for what it was used for I'm not sure, maybe a tumbler or cocktail glass?

Welcome to the board. I think we need dimensions to help decide what its function might be.

Unless the mods have fiddled, that's not what you did because the picture is attached to the post not an external link. You've actually uploaded it here.

It's better to attach pictures using the facility below the text box because part of the board's function is to be a reference source. Pictures uploaded to the board or the associated gallery stay. Pictures uploaded elsewhere have the nasty habit of disappearing. It can be very frustrating to think you have found some useful information on here only to find that there is no picture available.

Daphne may have pasted the copied URL directly into to the box for "Attach:", rather than clicking on the "Browse" button to the right of the box.

Both are valid ways of entering a URL into the attachment box, but the "Browse" button allows the URL to pick up a piccie from within your own pc files rather than from a hosting site such as Flickr, Photobucket, etc.
