Clear Glass bowl with a Curl at the end?
« on: July 10, 2011, 08:51:49 AM »
Wake Up everyone -- It morning time there ....lol....but not here, and I am still up  ;D

I have this clear glass bowl that has a curl at the end.  It is about 7.5 wide, and 2 inches high to the rim (and about 3 inches high to top of the curl).  Base has some wear.

For some funny reason, I am *thinking*  :ho: Krosno because the Curl on it kinda reminds me of the curly legs on this piece I have, and had posted here:
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34004.0.html

Might it be Krosno?  Or something else like Chinese?  Or something other than that?  I have no idea, and not finding anything (yet) like it.

Thanks for any info and at all,  :kissy: and grab your  :t: and enjoy the Board -- I going to Bed here!!

It's not Chinese Rose. Have you looked at Viking?

This is certainly similar to Imperial's "Casual Crystal" line, c. 1953-54. The piece you have might be the #80 handled olive server (see Imperial Glass Encyclopedia vol. 2, p. 258) although the placement of the handle looks different. Is the bowl 6" d. and fairly thick?

Hi I have one of these in dark green which I tried to get ID'd quite a while ago. It was sold to me as a Murano piece but nobody thought it was that. I never found out a maker, I still have it on display because I like the feel of it. I have seen them on Ebay claiming to be various makers.  Cheryl
