Asteroid vase part of series?

(1/1)

langhaugh:
One of my favourite pieces is this 'Asteroid' vase by Jan Drost for Zabkowice, Poland. Does anyone know if the vase was part of a series?  I ask because I was in an antique store yesterday and there was a glass tray for sale that looked very similar in style.  I'd like to know if that's a possibility. If yes, I promise a picture of the plate some time.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Hi David,

Drost's "Asteroid" was most definitely a range which also included platters, candlesticks...  Take a look at the Corning Museum of Glass for some more examples from the series:

Brilliant, Anik.  I'm amazed how you recall all the stuff you see the Internet, especially from the CGR, which you must have totally committed to memory.   Thanks!

David, I think you give me more credit than is due. :-[

Though I knew there were Asteroid plates, I wasn't aware of other pieces in the collection.  It was only after looking into Ceramika i szkło polskie XX wieku did I realize that there were more.  After a rather lengthy description of Asteroid items, the fine print at the end of the text directed me to the Corning museum.  :)
