Tall pressed vase with wavy lines - Polish? Sklo?
« on: July 14, 2011, 09:04:26 PM »
Could this be a Drost vase? - I've seen some similar but nothing quite like this. 9.5" tall, optical with wavy lines, the base finished like Sklo Union pieces. Thanks, Deb

My feeling is that it's Polish, only because I see quite a few of them here.  Then again, that's hardly any proof. :usd:

P.S. In the other link, this 'Dusan' has got another vase which is 100% Polish in his Czech pressed glass album http://picasaweb.google.com/exat53/PreGlasTschechoslowakei#5159804941667117330 so he does make the occassional mistake.  He's got a wonderful collection, though.

I agree that the pattern has a lot of similarities to what I've seen described as Jan Drost for Zabkowice... Of course, it could be simply 'inspired by'?
