Pallme Koenig.... or not?
« on: July 19, 2011, 09:00:29 AM »
I found this vase the other day and when searching for an ID found it's relation here (scroll down, 4th vase): http://home.earthlink.net/~verredart1/glass/PallmeKoenig.html

So I assume it was made by Pallme Koenig the trouble is I can not find anything else attributed to them with this decor. Height is 10 cm or 4 inches.

Any thoughts?

John

Evening John,
If you go to http://Loetz.com and check out the area dedicated to Dugan (left hand side) and go to the second page and you should see similar but not identical shaped vases to yours and also that shown on Verredart1.

Bryn I can't see similar pieces on those pages though  :-\
John I found another whilst having a look round but lost my connection before I had chance to save it.
I'll keep looking this evening and post if I can find it again.

The piece on that site is not a piece of PK, but is most likely a piece of Kralik. Actually, 4 of the pieces on that page attributed to PK are actually not PK production. I would likely attribute your piece to Kralik.

This is also not a piece of Dugan..... for sure.....

I believe the reference to Dugan and Loetz.com was to shape on the right end of the 1st attached image, and the left side of the second image. Pics used with permission....

Thank you Bryn, M and Craig very much for taking a look, I had wondered about Kralik as a 'working assumption' but did not want to lead down that path. Possibly Kralik sits more comfortably than Pallme Koenig with me, most PK production seems more flamboyant.
