Pale amber bowl
« on: July 30, 2011, 02:00:36 AM »
Hi all - I don't know why I bought this bowl, I don't normally go in for the ruffled look but I had just hit the (my) jackpot with a Murano bowl for ten bucks that I got this for five.  I assume it's American (but I may be wrong) but can anyone tell me anything about it? There is a pattern on the base like a naive chrysanthamum which I suppose is the maker's mark.

It's very clear, the photos are true and it rings like a bell.  The dimples go towards the centre of the bowl, it stands 13.5 cm high and is 30cm across at the widest point. It's quite thin and has a lot of wear on the base.
