Vase with mottling of coppery glitter and pink...?
« on: August 04, 2011, 02:32:25 PM »
This vase is 24 cm high, smooth slightly irregular rim, base ground with polished pontil mark, rather thick glass...

The technique and colours are "special": pink mottling plus copper coloured, glittery blotches in clear glass.
Not really my cup of tea, but the effect is quite striking...

I do not have the faintest idea where and when this one was made -- any ideas?

Thanks!
Michael

When I bought this vase I thought perhaps Polish.

Had a look now through several of the Polish glassworks websites, and found similar pieces from Huta Szkla "JÓZEFINA":
decor
shape

So I guess I will not get a closer ID than recent Polish?

Attached another pic against a darker background...
