Davidson Rd No 340825
« on: August 09, 2011, 08:30:16 AM »
Hi Guys and Girls
On Monday my Wife and I payed a visit to a local secondhand dealer where I found a barrel shaped piece of glass, 140mm high 140mm at widest 125mm at the top.

In the base is the Rd No 340825 for 5th July 1899 Davidson

There is a metal rim and handle but lid is missing would have been EPNS on brass no makers mark.

Question could the metal work have been done in house or is it just a vase bought by a retailer and made into a biscuit barrel.

Has anyone seen this shape as a biscuit barrel if so what is the lid like, does anyone have a spare one
