Topic: Never seen these candle holders before...

...possibly because I don't go to Ikea - please tell me they're not Ikea!

Hi all

These two candleholders are VERY clear, no markings and sadly no wear so I assume they are brand spanking new


Offset pyramidal shape that is 9.5cm tall and has a square base 9.5cm on all four sides (would be, if it's square, Poppy).

Anyway, they glitter and look lovely.  Any ideas on maker? Are they new, old etc?

Also - forgot to mention this - there are no sharp edges or corners or mould lines so I was wondering how they might have been made.  I can't think how they could have been broken out of a mould without lines somewhere so I imagine they were finished afterwards and in that case does that make them better quality?

Nachtmann's a possibility - they seem to like sharp pointy candleholders - I have some with quite wicked points in a star shape that are also very clear shiny glass, as yours seem to be.

I would think Italy is the main source of quality votives - including ones designed by Orrefors and Holmegaard. After that there are Muurla and Nachtmann.
