Few pics added of UV Riihimaki Stella Polaris bottle, with Riihimaki export label. Difficult to compare from the photos, however, the bases do appear different, regardless of the R1 markings...

also there seems to be a difference in the neck length. Fancy getting your tape measure out Greg? Mine's a mere 3cm from the body to the top of the neck.

Elsewhere there is a neodymium polaris bottle and the neck length seems longer than the uranium one above, but that could just be foreshortening?

I've just noticed something about my second generation model: it has some kind of luster finish like clear carnival glass.

The length from the edge of the top rim to the base of the neck is roughly around 4.5cm.

The total height is 18cm which is correct for Stella Polaris. Adam's Alexandrite version looks fine to me, I think the difference you are seeing in the height of the neck is just due to the way both pictures have been taken.

I think there must have been some level of cooperation going on to mass produce for a certain market. Maybe for a specific retailer?
