« on: September 13, 2011, 10:21:52 AM »
Please could someone else me to identify this glass vase on behalf of Helen & Douglas House charity (childrens and young persons hospice based in Oxford).

It has quite a rough pontil on the base as you can see and measures 20.5cm tall

Many thanks in advance

Made by Alum Bay Glass, this form is generally known as a 'jack in the pulpit vase'.  They have been making them for years, their current version is shown on their website here: http://www.alumbayglass.co.uk/browse_prod_sub.php?sid=3

If you want to know when this one was likely to have been made you could email them and ask (they have been very helpful in the past), choose general enquiry here: http://www.alumbayglass.co.uk/contact_us.php
