I was given this from my grand mother and am having a hard time finding out anything about when, where and who made the set. It is a set of 8 wine hocks with a matching decanture all colored cut to clear. My grand mother was supposed to have been in Germany around 1952/53

Welcome to the board. We would love to help but we need pictures (high resolution ones resized so that the longest dimension is 700 pixels). We need a side shot, a base shot and a close-up of the mark as a minimum. Here is our help topic on posting pictures. http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6522.0.html We also need dimensions.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

I am working on getting the pics loaded for you to see.

the demisions are as follows. The decanture is 38cm tall with the stopper in place, 29cm without the stopper inplace. The base is 7.5cm, the top flange is5.5cm. the stopper it's self is 10cm long.

The wine hocks are as follows. The hock are around 21cm tall, every one is just a bit different in sizes as they are hand made. The mouth of the hock is 7cm wide, the bowl it's self seems to be around 9cm wide. the stems are 13cm tall. the base of the hocks are around 8cm wide. the bowl depth seems to be around 8cm deep.

As soon as i get the confirmation e-mail on the photo gallery I will post the pics

Thank you

Steven burch

Steven, you can add them straight into your post here on the board. You don't need to use GlassGallery unless you want to. You have been activated there though. :)

Well done on adding a photo. :hiclp: If you add pics of the pieces as well it might help as someone may recognise the design. The label translates to Genuine hand cut lead crystal. I don't recognise the KK Z mark but someone else might do.
