OTT just for jam!
« on: February 05, 2013, 11:41:09 AM »
I was really pleased to find this little extravaganza at the weekend. It has three colours plus clear, stripes, trailing, frills (uranium) and extra rim crimping. My guess would be Richardson

gorgeous find! and colours - is the 'crackle' effect done with trails?
I think Stuart also used that colour combination.

Yes it's trailled over the stripes.

Not OTT for Mary Barry of Thurles' homemade jam from Michael Barry of Thurles' homegrown blackcurrants.
That's the best jam in the world, and it is good enough for this glorious beast.  ;D
Very jammy, if I may say so, Christine.  :-[

very unusual piece Christine  -  the first thing that came to mind was blue john (but only if you look quickly ;D).

There's acres of uniformly decorated machine threaded material, but having gone right through Gulliver it seems this random trailing is quite rare.     There are one or two pieces, but they don't remotely match in an overall style.         I think we should stick to the word trailing, as 'crackle' might mis-lead. :)
