clear glass bird / gull - Murano / Scandinavian / or what?
« on: October 14, 2011, 09:31:53 AM »
Hi all,

I bought this clear glass bird with amber eyes and beak recently. (I think it looks like a gull of some type)

seller advertised it as Murano, but for me it seems to have more of a Scandinavian feel.

Does anyone recognise the style?

there are no marks or labels on it. some base wear but not a massive amount. maybe 1980's perhaps?

stands 4 inches or 10 cm high, 6 1/2 inches or 16.5 cm long.
it has no wings - not a vestige!

any help to identify maker / age appreciated.
