Caithness? Lenox Made in Scotland
« on: October 23, 2011, 07:49:09 PM »
I asked a general question about Lenox and Caithness earlier but got no reply.

It looks like Caithness to me and people do list Lenox as Caithness on  ebay ...

etched on base (c) LENOX (R) and a sticker saying Lenox made in Scotland

Lenox dealt in glass until they went under ten years ago. I have an etched vase signed by Peill & Pützler and stamped over with the Lenox etchmark - most convincing  :huh2:

I assume Lenox has been revived:

at least as a reseller.
This seller (?) seems pretty sure about the manufacturer (sorry, didn't find this before posting - despite searching).

So am I right in assuming LENOX are a gift store in the US who commission work?

I would love to find out who the artist was.

I'd be very surprised if it's not Caithness... compare with these known examples:

Cheers Anne,
seems pretty compelling.
Not seen anything to tell me the artist I think we can put it down as a + ID - MOD!
