Cosmopolitan Sugar Jar
« on: October 24, 2011, 08:28:49 PM »
this cosmopolitan ('Sugar' in several languages) sugar jar has a distinctive V mark on the base.

The mark is like a V with a little tail on each upper point - similar to a ram's head with horns.

I know the photo isn't great but I can't get my camera to focus on it properly.

If your camera has a zoom option (or, even better, a macro option - usually denoted by a flower symbol), try moving the camera away from the glass and use the zoom to get in close - it should get everything into focus.

Sounds like it could be Nouvelles Verreries de Momignies SA, Belgium.  Bottle Marks section p.163 in Ivo's "glass fact file a-z", but a pic. would confirm ;)

Just google imaged the name 'Nouvelles Verreries de Momignies SA, Belgium' and the first two are their logo. Spot on Anne. Well done.
