Topic: mystery small green goblet vase

Hi everyone. This strange piece was bought in a junk shop in Birmingham UK about 20 years ago. It is about 10cm tall and is slightly wonky, rustic in style but the glass has a nice ring to it. The green tint is slightly different in reality. The bowl has a deliberate spiral twist design within the glass that I have tried to show in one pic. Not my normal kind of glass and so I know nothing about it. I was wondering if any GMB members had seen the like before and could suggest a country of origin or date for this piece, new or old? I would welcome any comments about this piece.... thank you...

The shape and the optic mould remind me of Karhula, but the the thickness and quality of the glass speak against that.  Is it just a snapped off pontil mark?

Thanks David. I was thinking Spanish tourist glass or old English glass.... but without a clue really. A GMB member has suggested to me it may perhaps be English 19th century from an unofficial non-registered glass-maker, making utilitarian ware, bottles etc. not clear glass. Apparently almost impossible to identify, if so. The photos are not great I took them in a hurry. The pontil rod mark is not sharp. This piece belongs to a friend so any information I can find will be of interest. I am pretty sure this is a drinking vessel of some kind.... but exact attribution seems a way off!

I'm not sure there ever was such a thing, but there were plenty of small glass manufacturers. To me, the green looks deliberate rather than accidental. It would be interesting to know just what shade of green it is.
