Perfume bottle may have two signatures
« on: October 30, 2011, 02:59:01 PM »
A substantial and heavy perfume bottle with a long dipper kind of stopper, whole thing stands 16cm high. I am not sure if there are two signatures or if there is a studio name plus a signature.

I don't recognise it or the squiggles, anyone have a clue?

John

Rolf Harris and Rob Swill???   :wsh:

It does look a bit Aurene-y - but I'm afraid I'm clueless!

I think it's Geoff Walker and Robin Smith.

They seem to be a partnership.

Compare Walker signature here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Robin-Smith-Jeff-Walker-Melting-Pot-Glassworks-Kantan-Bowl-UK-England-Glass-/260859930068

Sorry it's Jeff Walker.

Thank you Nancy, I think you have cracked it, Jeff Walker and Robin Smith fits perfectly.  :hiclp:

It seems Melting Pot don't have a website (at least not one I have managed to find) but I have been able to find a fair few images of their output online and they make perfume bottles in the same shape and with a little applied foot.

Strangely one of Australia's more successful glass artists - Gerry Rielly calls his studio - The Melting Pot.
