Very interesting, and informative, Gary. Possibly a flat backed shade? - rather like a Staffordshire flat back that also went on a mantle piece.
Although you show that the shape has/had a use it still doesn't appeal, I'm afraid :huh:
BTW also recorded in the orange, fawn/brown and white, having pull-ups and with white innner (within the Turner Collection) - which is more appealing colour way
