Topic: fluffy powdered cloudy mottled blue large double walled bowl

I suspect this is possibly 'modern' but does anyone have a clue from whence it came or have seen similar on the net etc please?  and which way up should it be    I've searched  as many of the Polish glass sites as I can and some of the Chinese productions but not seen anything similar - the 'mottled' effect is not 'spatter' glass as I know it, it's a cloudy powdery type way it's been done, painterly rather than splotchy if you know what I mean?
Measures 10" or 25cm wide and is about 4 1/2" or 11.5cm tall.  The rim (base or top?) is ground and polished very nicely done.

Well the colour is applied with frit, i.e., powder. Splotches are more likely to to be chips.

Thanks Christine    it's a lovely effect - I prefer it to the splotches somehow, more subtle and delicate.  It is a fantastic showy piece of glass because of the colour/decor and size.

Thanks Sue  I hadn't thought of investigating closer to home so a good reminder to do so.
I had thought maybe Czech instead of Polish or Chinese, but I can't find anything similar in terms of colour or the use of powder rather than chips (although that could be down to my distinct lack of knowledge in technical terms to be honest)
It is a nice piece, very well finished, nothing shoddy about it.  My instinct because of size and shape says contemporary mass produced but actually I haven't a clue.  I did think it might be French modern, but only because the colour combination and painterly effect reminds me of some art deco pieces, so I don't actually think it is.  There aren't many things in this double walled shape, though there are some new clear bowls.  Other than that I haven't found much at all.

Interesting fact -  I examined this again tonight under a strong light.  There is no wear at all on that cut rim  and the rim has an arriss around it as well.  So it has been cut polished and bevelled, but the interesting thing is that this bowl has been displayed curved side down with the cut rim up.  Under a magnifying glass and strong light, not really visible on just looking because of the colour and mottled effect, there is a complete ring of wear around the top of the curved edge.

It could be Scottish but I also think Czech is a distinct possibility, they seem to have used glass more extravagently and the base finish seems to support that too.
