Topic: For Penguin lovers

This lovely pair was made by MacKenzie Mitchell of Tasmania.  He mainly sells at the Salamanca Place Market of a Sunday morning.  I happen to like them very much - hope you do as well.  :X:

Out of curiosity, how tall is the piece?

They are quite small c. 7 t0 8cms tall and I assume are meant to be Fairy Penguins.  By the way he has a website  http://www.mackenziemitchell.com.au/   and I notice was an apprentice at Moncrieff's in Scotland.

Possibly Emporer Penguins??? The necking style and the upper bodies look more like them. Although the colours of the Emporer Penguin don't match the true colours. The blue on the base could represent the cold nature of the antartic which flows up into the penguin, the necking style would give a look of comfort and warmth in those conditions. Very nice and well made  :hiclp:

Just saw the website...Emporer Penguins...Fairy Penguins don't live in such cold conditions...
