Art-deco Cranberry Glass Stemware--Identify Pattern
« on: December 16, 2011, 09:33:40 PM »
Hi there,

New to the forum. Can anyone identify the pattern of the stemware in this photo? The only information provided states that it is art-deco cranberry glass stemware.

If not, I would love to learn of other sources for which I can search.

Thank you so much!

love the Christmas decor and homely ambience :)       However, close up pictures of the glass  -  including underside shots - will be necessary to provide a possible positive confirmation of your suggestion or, of course, otherwise.      The production of cranberry glass spans the best part of three centuries.    May we ask the source of your information. :)

Thanks Paul, unfortunately, I found it online and the website said it was from a Martha Stewart magazine spread featuring her Skylands home in Maine. I believe much of the home decor she inherited from a previous owner. I, too, like the warmth of the stemware particularly paired with the cranberry transferware. Anyone know a good source to narrow my search?

I've looked around today quite a bit and my search has turned up empty. The upside is I found a good deal on a set of Borgfeldt Cranberry Optic Lisa Champagne/sherbets on ebay. :)

engarde — welcome to the GMB.

Please see GMB admin topic ADMIN: Using Copyright Material.

I've had a look to see if I could find the source of your images.

I haven't found the dining room image.   Please would you post the web address of the web page where you found it, and a GMB Moderator will probably change your picture to a link.   Love those pine cone filled compotes, by the way!

I have found the cranberry glass image — unfortunately only on shop sites where web page addresses are notoriously volatile and best avoided.   If you know of a web page containing the image on a more permanent manufacturer's or collector's site, please would you post that.    If not then it may be best to just ask the reader to do an Internet search — I found the search argument "george borgfeldt lisa cranberry optic champagne tall sherbet" speedy and effective.   Again a GMB Moderator will do what is needed.

You will get into posting on the GMB very quickly, so don't worry.

The image was found here on this site. I believe the blog owner scanned in the MSL page image. http://marthamoments.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Here might be a good place to look [LINK REMOVED] but don't forget most things come in more than one colour

Check the replacements website .  Looks like a Gorham Reizart pattern from the 1970s.  I have seen it in blue, but not cranberry.
