Help with ID for Whitefriars Wannabe Bark Bowl
« on: December 18, 2011, 07:48:31 PM »
I've seen an identical bowl identified as "Davidson's Luna" on ebay but the "Luna" bark bowl on the Whitefriars Wannabe page is quite different, much less heavy and more even patterning.  Weight and dimensions of this one are much the same as the Whitefriars ones but base is spherical whereas the Whitefriars bases follow the mould line and so are irregular.  Surfing around I saw something similar (but cased) ascribed to Ingridglas, Germany.

Any ideas on this one anyone???

Looks pretty similar to the green one described   'Luna' on the blog of Emmi to me? the blue on on the blog  is just a different style, think these were just a large fruit bowl? Whitefriars also did a much larger one 9687 described as a fruit bowl which was also thinner glass than than the smaller bark bowls maybe a case of imitating like the bark vases?

Diameter 5", Height 2" .... similar dimensions and weight to the Whitefriars ones.  Hopefully the pics of base and side view may help.
