Art Glass Centerpiece/Bowl
« on: July 23, 2009, 04:36:20 PM »
Hi All,

I have this lovely chunky centrepiece that looks like frozen ice. I just wondered if anyone has seen it before and ideas about it's origin.
It's heavy about 1.8kg & dimensions are - 9.5" x 8.5" & about 2.5" high in places. It is very irregular in shape and the underside is in relief whilst the top is smooth.
Thanks

I think it is a WALTHER piece - I've come across one with a sticker and was amazed, I never thought they had it in them! Maybe Dirk can confirm....

... hmmm, think i haven´t come across this one yet  - sorry!
but i would trust Ivo´s memory and agree, that if Walther it´s definetly one
of the nicer things they produced - lacking the usual ´touch of kitsch´ some
pieces give off (for my liking).

Thanks Ivo & Dirk for your help. If it is Walther then it is a really nice contemporary piece..... :)
